Our private training packages are for those dog & family teams that thrive on the convenience of lessons in their home. In addition, some cases are more effectively and appropriately addressed in private lessons rather than in a group class. If you can’t fit a group class into your schedule or have a dog behavior problem that needs one-on-one attention, private lessons can help prevent and resolve issues and help you help your dog become a mannerly, compliant companion.
Chelsea offers both private training and group training sessions. Private training sessions are divided into three types: puppy training, basic manners and obedience, and behavior modification for moderate – severe behavioral issues.
Private training can take place at your home, or in a public space – depending on the issue being worked on. These individual sessions can also be done by itself or in addition to group classes.
Chelsea primarily teaches in Bellingham, but for an additional fee is able to travel to the following locations: Alger, Blaine, Deming, Ferndale, Lynden, Maple Falls, Silver Lake, Sudden Valley & Sumas.
All Group sessions take place at Tails-a-Wagging in Bellingham.
Puppy’s don’t come with instructions, but our puppy training sessions give you the assistance you need for an easier transition. This program is designed to help you take advantage of the critical, early months of their puppy’s development.
For basic manners and general obedience skills these one-on-one sessions are designed to cater to your specific training needs, and help you work on a range of topics for you and your dog – without having to commit to 6 weeks of training classes.
For moderate – severe behavior problems, Chelsea can work with you to create a modification plan using science-based positive reinforcement training methods to help your dog with their reactivity, fear, or aggression towards other dogs and people.
Make sure your puppies & adult dogs get the socialization and training they need in a group environment. Whether you’re just starting out in kindergarten, advancing onto higher levels of obedience, there’s a class for every dog.
