Congratulations on your new addition, most families spend weeks preparing for the arrival of a new baby puppy. They’re just as likely, however, to bring a baby puppy home on a whim, without any preparation at all. You’ve probably heard that all a puppy does is eat, poop, whine, chew, and sleep. Sounds simple, right? It may become simple, but chances are it won’t seem that way at first. Knowing what to expect from your new puppy will make your first few days and weeks at home together a little less overwhelming.
To help map out what’s in store after the big homecoming, Chelsea has developed a puppy parenting program to assist you along the way.
New puppy parents are wise to take full advantage of the most critical, early months of their puppy’s development by focusing on teaching manners and life skills and on the prevention of predictable problem behaviours. Early training helps ensure you help your puppy establish good habits and prevent unwanted behaviours from developing. Our approach is gentle, effective, enjoyable, and designed to be mastered by all members of the family, youngsters included.
Training is decidedly “dog-friendly” in its endeavour to teach young puppies not only what we want them to do, but to want to do what we want them to do. Our puppy parenting program will produce willingly compliant, mannerly, good-natured, easily-handled adult dogs. Getting off to an early start sets you and your puppy up for greater success.
Bringing Home Puppy costs £45 for the initial 1.5 hour long session. Each hourly follow-on session booked after that is £30 – book now.
